Which of the NBA Rookies has Looked Better in 2020?

We will talk about the first 5 rookies of the first overall picks.

  1. Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards was the first overall pick in the 2020-2021 season choose by Minnesota Timber Wolves.  He has looked amazing in his three games.  In the debut, he scored 15 points 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.  The shooting-guard in his second game obtained 18 points in 22 minutes. Last night he continued consistent with 15 points 4 rebounds and 2 assists.  Anthony looks too confident and I love it.  He’s very fast, it’s not easy to guard it, and nothing afraid to fight in the paint.  I expect a lot from Edwards the rest of the season.  Anthony Edwards currently averages 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.

  • James Wiseman

James Wiseman was selected by the Golden State Warriors as, second overall pick.  Wiseman is looking pretty well in all his games.  In his debut, he scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals.  He scored 18 points and 8 rebounds in the Christmas Game, but yesterday it was a discreet day (not bad) with 7 points and 3 rebounds. James has demonstrated to be an excellent 3-point shooter and make dunks look simple.  The center has the advantage to have with him one of the greatest point guards, Stephen Curry.  I hope throughout the season to see nasty dunks from this duo.  James Wiseman currently averages 14.7 points and 5.7 rebounds.

  • LaMelo Ball

LaMelo Ball was one of the most anticipated drafts for this season.  Not only for his talent but for being the brother of the point guard Lonzo Ball and son of the former football player Lavar Ball.  In his debut, he disappointed the fans with 0 points.  Many people say it was because he only played 15 minutes, and who knows? Maybe that’s true.  On December 26 the point guard played a lot better with 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Yesterday it wasn’t a bad day at all, 6 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. LaMelo has talent, his highlights videos are amazing, a great 3-point shooter, his ball-handling is amazing, and can dunk too.  As I see it, the youngest Ball needs more games to look better, and show that he plays as surprising as the analysts put him.  LaMelo currently averages 6.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

  • Patrick Williams

Patrick Williams is a small forward and the fourth overall pick selected this season by Chicago Bulls. His debut was awesome with 16 points and 4 rebounds.  He was the third figure in the game after Zach Lavine and Lauri Markkanen. In the second game scored 9 points and 2 rebounds, and yesterday against the Golden State Warriors 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks.  Patrick has a very good jump shot, is agile, and last but not least important, a really strong defense.  I have a good hunch for this player for the rest of the season and I’m sure he will give a lot to talk about. Patrick Williams currently averages 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

  • Isaac Okoro

Isaac Okoro was the fifth overall pick selected by Cleveland Cavaliers.  I don’t have a lot to say in terms of the starting season.  Cavaliers have played three games and in the second he scored 0 points.  Yesterday he didn’t play against Philadelphia.  Still, is one of my favorites.  I love his preseason debut game; it was extremely surprising. Okoro scored 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in the regular-season debut.  The dunks were amazing, and he and Sexton made a pretty great duo.  In the next seasons, they can be an extraordinary young duo. Isaac Okoro currently averages 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

Order of appearance of rookies in this 2020-2021 season

  1. Anthony Edwards
  2. James Wiseman
  3. Patrick Williams
  4. Lamelo Ball
  5. Isaac Okuro

All this results probably would change throughout the season, we know this is only the beginning of the season, but today this is the order.
