We have a 10 game slate on FanDuel NBA DFS tonight! With lock at 7:00 PM EST, here’s who I like to build our lineup pyramid today.
Our lineup pyramid is made up of 3 base players, 2 high-upside players, and the top overall scorer on the slate.
Remember, value is determined by reaching 5x the price for the player. Example: a price tag of $10,000 means the player needs to get 50.0 FPTS. Ideally, we want guys that smash that value for 7x-8x their worth.
Our pyramid base will consist of 3 players that I feel are safe plays today. These guys should reach value with ease and are a solid foundation for our FanDuel NBA DFS lineups.
- Damian Lillard, PG, Trailblazers
- Nikola Vucevic, C, Magic
- Devin Booker, SG, Suns
The base for our FanDuel Lineup Pyramid may include my top-3 players on this entire slate! All 3 of these guys are under priced and are primed to put up big numbers.
Starting with Dame, the star point guard is incorrectly priced at $9k and is already back at full strength. He’s going to play over 35 minutes in a pace up game that can see him score around 50 FPTS tonight. He’s been averaging about 1.3 FPTS/Minute and this POR/PHX game is one of the highest projected scoring games on the slate. Start your FanDuel lineup with Dame and build from there if you want to be successful tonight.
Next up, Nikola Vucevic ($8.4k) is in line for a heavier workload tonight with Even Fournier ruled out with an injury. He’s capable of scoring 50+ FPTS on any night, but even more so when he’s the primary offensive weapon. The Magic face a horrendous Timberwolves defense and Vucevic is in line to feast. He’s going to have to stay on the court to provide the Magic with offense which benefits his near 1.4 FPTS/Minute.
Lastly, Devin Booker ($8.3k) is the Phoenix Suns when Kelly Oubre and DeAndre Ayton miss action. Booker is going to play nearly 40 minutes tonight and he scores ~1.2 FPTS/Minute as of late. He’s going to have to chuck shots like crazy to keep the Suns competitive in this one. Let’s not forget Booker scored over 65 FPTS less than a couple months ago.
The middle of our lineup pyramid is reserved for high-upside guys, players that may be overlooked, or players that I project will obliterate their FanDuel NBA DFS value.
- Aaron Holiday, PG, Pacers
- Terrence Ross, SG, Magic
When Malcolm Brogdan misses time, Aaron Holiday ($3.7k) picks up the offensive slack. Look I’ll be honest, Holiday hasn’t been that good of player for DFS purposes so far this season. But, in order to pay up for the studs on this slate, we have to play some scrubs. It doesn’t get “better” than playing a guy that’s near minimum price that’ll see around 30 minutes of game time. He only needs to score a little over 20 FPTS to reach value which isn’t entirely out of the question.
The ultimate boom-or-bust guy is next up on the docket. Terrence Ross ($5.2k) has been on a scoring tear lately, topping 30 points in 2 of his last 4 games. Similar to what was said about Vuc, Ross will have to pick up the offensive scoring duties that Fournier leaves behind. Normally the 3rd or 4th option, Ross will be the 2nd or 3rd option tonight when the Magic face the terrible Timberwolves defense.
Some other names to keep an eye on for our pyramid middle include:
- Caris LeVert, SG, Nets
- Shabazz Napier, PG, Wizards
- Trey Lyles, PF, Spurs
- Semi Ojeleye, SF, Celtics
The top of our lineup pyramid is for who I project will be the top overall FPTS scorer on the slate. This player will be the most beneficial to roster and should be a focal point of your FanDuel NBA DFS lineup.
- Luka Doncic, PG, Mavs (Questionable)
- Bradley Beal, SG, Wizards
With so many studs playing on this slate, it’s hard to choose just one guy to be the top play. But, I’m rolling with Luka tonight as his Mavs will play against the Grizzles and their poor defense. Keep in mind that Luka is dealing with an illness and may not play tonight. If that’s the case, I think we can safely pivot to Bradley Beal ($10.1k) as he faces the Hawks and their pathetic excuse of a defense. The usage rates of both of these guys is otherworldly and that’s why I like them over the Lakers/Bucks guys tonight.
Who do you think is the best play tonight on FanDuel? Should we lock in any 1 player and build around them? Let me know in the comments below! Also, check out the shop and other content by clicking here.
