FanDuel NBA DFS, Lineup Pyramid, 3/5/2020

We have a 4 game slate on FanDuel NBA DFS tonight! With lock at 7:00 PM EST, here’s who I like to build our lineup pyramid today.

Our lineup pyramid is made up of 3 base players, 2 high-upside players, and the top overall scorer on the slate.

Remember, value is determined by reaching 5x the price for the player. Example: a price tag of $10,000 means the player needs to get 50.0 FPTS. Ideally, we want guys that smash that value for 7x-8x their worth.

Pyramid Base

Our pyramid base will consist of 3 players that I feel are safe plays today. These guys should reach value with ease and are a solid foundation for our FanDuel NBA DFS lineups.

  • Kyle Lowry, PG, Raptors
  • Tobias Harris, SF, 76ers
  • Kawhi Leonard, PF, Clippers

With a price tag of $7,300 tonight, Kyle Lowry is an absolute steal on FanDuel. Even with the expected returns of Fred VanVleet ($6,100) and Serge Ibaka ($6,000), Lowry is still going to play upwards of 35 minutes and is averaging 1.15 FPTS/Minute. The return of Steph Curry on the other side can only help Lowry as it will make the game a smidgen closer. Lowry has shown 50+ FPTS upside recently and is a must-own tonight.

Tobias Harris is the only “star” not injured on this 76ers team and he has a price tag of $7,100 tonight. The SF slots on FanDuel are always tough to roster, so a discounted price on a guy capable of putting up 30+ real-life points is a huge bonus. This matchup with the Kings is fairly even as well, so expect Harris to play like he has in recent history.

The last man on the base of our pyramid tonight is Kawhi Leonard. Not only is Kawhi one of the few stars on this 4-game slate, but he is only priced at $9,200 on FanDuel. He’s been averaging about 1.4 FPTS/Minute as of late and is simply too cheap in this pace-up game with the Rockets. The PF slots are thin tonight so play it safe and pay for “The Claw” on FanDuel.

Pyramid Middle

The middle of our lineup pyramid is reserved for high-upside guys, players that may be overlooked, or players that I project will obliterate their FanDuel NBA DFS value.

  • Shake Milton, PG, 76ers
  • Fred VanVleet, SG, Raptors

Shake Milton can easily get to 40+ FPTS on this slate and he is only priced at $5,400 on FanDuel. He’s averaging just below 1 FPTS/Minute and is going to get massive minutes as long as the 76ers are shorthanded. Look, someone has to shoot the ball and it can’t just be Tobias Harris.

Fred VanVleet, $6,100 on FanDuel, is in a similar boat to his teammate Kyle Lowry. He’s simply too cheap not to roster and when he plays, he usually gets into the upper-30’s minutes wise. He’s been averaging just below 1 FPTS/Minute and gets to face a terrible Warriors team. Keep an eye on the injury report though as VanVleet is still listed as questionable.

Some other names to keep an eye on for our pyramid middle include:

  • Devonte’ Graham
  • Furkan Korkmaz
  • Serge Ibaka

Pyramid Top

The top of our lineup pyramid is for who I project will be the top overall FPTS scorer on the slate. This player will be the most beneficial to roster and should be a focal point of your FanDuel NBA DFS lineup.

  • James Harden, SG, Rockets

This game will be in a playoff atmosphere, which means James Harden is going to want to take this game into his own hands. He is clearly the most expensive player on the slate at $11,200 and for good reason. Harden is averaging around 1.4 FPTS/Minute and is essentially a lock for 40 FPTS and has the upside to hit 80 FPTS on any given night.

Conclusion

Who do you think is the best play tonight on FanDuel? Should we lock in any 1 player and build around them? Let me know in the comments below! Also, check out the shop and other content by clicking here.
