We have a 9 game slate on FanDuel NBA DFS tonight! With lock at 7:00 PM EST, here’s who I like to build our lineup pyramid today.

Our lineup pyramid is made up of 3 base players, 2 high-upside players, and the top overall scorer on the slate.

Remember, value is determined by reaching 5x the price for the player. Example: a price tag of $10,000 means the player needs to get 50.0 FPTS. Ideally, we want guys that smash that value for 7x-8x their worth.

Pyramid Base

Our pyramid base will consist of 3 players that I feel are safe plays today. These guys should reach value with ease and are a solid foundation for our FanDuel NBA DFS lineups.

  • Khris Middleton, SG, Bucks
  • Nikola Vucevic, C, Magic
  • Bam Adebayo, PF, Heat

Khris Middleton is priced at $7,400 and is averaging 35.31 FPTS per game. The big question mark with this play is that Giannis Antetokounmpo may sit this game out. When Giannis sits, Middleton is a must-own in every format. But, even when Giannis plays, Middleton has been on fire as of late. He’s scored north of 44 FPTS in 4 of his last 6 games, and that includes a 70 FPTS game on January 28th! Also, the last time Middleton faced the Kings, he scored 50+ FPTS.

Nikola Vucevic is priced at $8,600 and is averaging 41.0 FPTS per game. This very well may be the chalk play of the slate as the Hawks are allowing the most FPTS per game to opposing C’s. Vuc is getting back into the rhythm of scoring that DFS users are used to as he has scored over 47 FPTS in each of his last 2 games. When Vuc matches up against a Hawks team that is undersized, bad against C’s, and played in a 2OT game last night… nothing but upside here for the Magic big.

Bam Adebayo is priced at $8,500 and is averaging 40.15 FPTS per game. Facing the Warriors is an excellent spot for Bam as they are atrocious as a team this year. Bam should easily get a double-double in this game and 50+ FPTS is not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

Pyramid Middle

The middle of our lineup pyramid is reserved for high-upside guys, players that may be overlooked, or players that I project will obliterate their FanDuel NBA DFS value.

  • Harry Giles, PF, Kings
  • Kevin Huerter, SG, Hawks

Harry Giles is priced at $4,100 and is averaging 12.67 FPTS per game. With the Kings banged up in the front court, Giles is the essentially the only big man that will see extended run against the Bucks. The problem with this play is the fact he has to face the Bucks. Notorious for shutting down opposing bigs, the Bucks are going to let Giles get a pass. But, Giles is going to see more minutes than usual which can equate to more FPTS as a cheap value play.

Kevin Huerter is priced at $4,600 and is averaging 24.76 FPTS per game. Coming off of a 2OT game is tough for any team, but the Hawks need all hands on deck due to their short rotation. With Huerter playing 30+ minutes in each of the Hawks last 10 games, he’s the 3rd option behind Trae Young and John Collins. Being the lesser known of the 3, Huerter is usually given some slack by defenders which has allowed him to hit ceiling games of 54 FPTS in the past. He’s averaging more than his 5x value for this slate and I can see him reaching up to 8x.

Pyramid Top

The top of our lineup pyramid is for who I project will be the top overall FPTS scorer on the slate. This player will be the most beneficial to roster and should be a focal point of your FanDuel NBA DFS lineup.

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo, SF, Bucks (IF HE PLAYS)

Giannis Antetokounmpo is priced at $11,600 and is averaging 57.62 FPTS per game. Of the studs on this slate, Giannis has the best possible matchup. The Kings are hurting on the interior and Giannis feasts on teams in the paint. The only issue with putting Giannis at the top of our Lineup Pyramid is the fact he is questionable to play. He had his “worst game” of his last 5 in his previous outing when he ONLY scored 54.1 FPTS. If news breaks that Giannis is sitting, pivot our Pyramid Top to Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,000).

Who do you think is the best play tonight on FanDuel? Should we lock in any 1 player and build around them? Let me know in the comments below! Also, check out the shop and other content by clicking here.
