FanDuel NBA DFS, Lineup Pyramid, 2/5/2020

We have a 9 game slate on FanDuel NBA DFS tonight! With lock at 7:00 PM EST, here’s who I like to build our lineup pyramid today.

Our lineup pyramid is made up of 3 base players, 2 high-upside players, and the top overall scorer on the slate.

Remember, value is determined by reaching 5x the price for the player. Example: a price tag of $10,000 means the player needs to get 50.0 FPTS. Ideally, we want guys that smash that value for 7x-8x their worth.

Pyramid Base

Our pyramid base will consist of 3 players that I feel are safe plays today. These guys should reach value with ease and are a solid foundation for our FanDuel NBA DFS lineups.

  • Andrew Wiggins, SG, Timberwolves
  • Tim Hardaway, SF, Mavs
  • Larry Nance, PF, Cavs

Andrew Wiggins is priced at $6,900 and is averaging 36.15 FPTS per game. With the blockbuster trade that just took place last night, the Wolves are in need of a ball-handler and Wiggins will likely take on that role. He and KAT are going to have to supply all of the offense for the Wolves and Wiggins will have an increased chance of supplying assists.

Tim Hardaway is priced at $4,900 and is averaging 21.35 FPTS per game. Hardaway has a solid floor for fantasy production with Luka Doncic out. He put up 35.3 FPTS in the Mavs last game and is a strong pivot for a SF position that has lots of value tonight.

Larry Nance is priced at $5,100 and is averaging 23.59 FPTS per game. WIth Tristan Thompson requesting a trade from the Cavs, Nance is going to be given all the run he can handle. Nance played 42 minutes (!) in the Cavs last game and he produced 37.6 FPTS. When given the opportunity, Nance has been fairly productive over his career so this a great spot to lock up the underpriced PF.

Pyramid Middle

The middle of our lineup pyramid is reserved for high-upside guys, players that may be overlooked, or players that I project will obliterate their FanDuel NBA DFS value.

  • Rudy Gobert, C, Jazz
  • Kelan Martin, SF, Timberwolves

Rudy Gobert is priced at $8,200 and is averaging 41.6 FPTS per game. With his priced down due to some mediocre performances, Gobert has a solid chance for a “get-right” game. It’s a tough matchup with the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic, but that should benefit Gobert tonight. He’ll have to play more minutes in order to defend The Joker which allows for added opportunity.

Kelan Martin is priced at the minimum $3,500 and is averaging 11.73 FPTS per game. With the Timberwolves trading away 3 players last night, someone has to pick up the floor time! Martin has scored 20+ FPTS multiple times this season and is in line for extended run against an undersized Hawks team. Be weary of teammate Josh Okogie and his price of $3,900 at the same SF position.

Pyramid Top

The top of our lineup pyramid is for who I project will be the top overall FPTS scorer on the slate. This player will be the most beneficial to roster and should be a focal point of your FanDuel NBA DFS lineup.

  • Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Timberwolves

KAT is priced at $10,100 and is averaging 49.46 FPTS per game. Facing off against the worst defense against opposing Centers, KAT is surely going to light up the scoreboard tonight against Atlanta. With 2 of his fellow starters traded away last night, Towns now only has to worry about Wiggins eating into his shot opportunities. I can easily see Towns getting a triple-double tonight as he’ll need to create opportunities for others as well as produce his usual high scoring and rebounding.

Conclusion

Who do you think is the best play tonight on FanDuel? Should we lock in any 1 player and build around them? Let me know in the comments below! Also, check out the shop and other content by clicking here.
