FanDuel NBA DFS Values: 1/16/2020

We have a 5 game slate on FanDuel NBA DFS tonight! With lock at 7:30 PM EST, here’s who I like to reach value tonight.

Remember, value is determined by reaching 5x the price for the player. Example: a price tag of $10,000 means the player needs to get 50.0 FPTS. Ideally, we want guys that smash that value for 7x-8x their worth.

Point Guard

Monte Morris, DEN – $4,000

With Jamal Murray out with injury, Morris is expected to be the primary ball handler for the Nuggets. He has a great spot to dish out double-digit assists tonight.

Markelle Fultz, ORL – $5,500

As the only ball handler available last night, Fultz exploded for a career high in FPTS. Even if Michael Carter-Williams returns tonight, Fultz should still be the main guy. Beware, this is a tough matchup on the 2nd-half of a back-to-back.

Shooting Guard

P.J. Dozier, DEN – $3,500

Take what was said for Monte Morris and you pretty much place it here. Dozier will likely be the primary guy on the 2nd unit and is minimum price on FanDuel. In 1 half last night, Dozier scored 19+ FPTS.

Donovan Mitchell, UTA – $6,600

Still the primary guy on offense for the Jazz, Mitchell is certainly capable of scoring 45+ FPTS on any given night. Mitchell’s price has dipped as of late and now is the time to jump back onto the train. He plays in an excellent matchup tonight and should easily crush his value.

Small Forward

Gordon Hayward, BOS – $5,800

Due to multiple injuries for the Celtics, Hayward appears to be in line for an extended run tonight. Playing against the Bucks, the Celtics will need to score plenty and this game may be the highest scoring on the entire slate. If Jayson Tatum ($7,600) and Jaylen Brown ($6,000) both miss action, Hayward is in line for 35+ minutes.

Mikal Bridges, PHO – $4,500

With Kelly Oubre out with a concussion, Bridges will take his spot in the starting lineup. Bridges has been sporadic in his FPTS totals, but we can’t ignore the extended run and opportunity tonight’s game against the Knicks possesses.

Power Forward

Derrick Favors, NO – $5,400

Favors has been in and out of the lineup with injury this season. But, when he plays, he’s a solid point-per-minute guy for DFS purposes. This is a horrible matchup against the Jazz, but Favors may have some revenge on his mind versus his former team. I believe Favors should exceed 30 FPTS tonight, easily beating his value mark.

Daniel Theis, BOS – $4,400

Theis is expected to see more run tonight, like Gordon Hayward, since the Celtics are hurting. The PF position is fairly accurately priced in my mind tonight so it be best to pay up for guys like Kawhi Leonard ($10,100) and Julius Randle ($7,900).

Center

Bobby Portis, NY – $4,400

Portis is a great bet to score 25+ FPTS… when he logs 20 minutes on the court. He usually plays when things get out of hand but has earned better rotation minutes with his play as of late.

Mason Plumlee, DEN – $3,700

Just above minimum price, Plumlee is averaging more FPTS per game than what his 5x value would be tonight. That being said, other Nuggets will need to step up with Jamal Murray out of lineup. Plumlee won’t score a ton, but he’s a great bet to reach value.
