The latter half of the AFC Divisional Playoffs features the Texans and the Chiefs. The Chiefs will host the Texans in what should be a high-scoring affair. The winner of this game will go on to face the… Titans.

AFC Divisional Playoffs

Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs

Arrowhead Stadium

Kansas City, MO

With a current line of -9.5 (-110), the Chiefs are expected to take care of business rather easily. I wouldn’t rule out the Texans though as they have proven to be able to compete in close games. I’ll take the former NCAA Champion led Texans team at +9.5 (-110). The OVER at 51.5 (-110) is also worth a sprinkle of action as the Texans defense is bad enough to allow the Chiefs to light up the scoreboard.

The Chiefs are expected to be at near full force today with only Morris Claiborne OUT. Other guys on the injury report, including Travis Kelce and Chris Jones, are expected to play.

As for the Texans, we get the usual suspects on the injury report once again. First of all, Jordan Akins and Jahleel Addae are already ruled OUT. Now, on to the questionable guys. Will Fuller, Kenny Stills, Darren Fells, and Johnathan Joseph are all questionable and an absence by any of them severely hampers their odds of winning.

Chiefs Offense vs. Texans Defense

A Patrick Mahomes led offense is always going to be capable of feasting on a defense. Now, when that defense is as uninspiring as the Texans, it leads to big days at the office for the Chiefs offense. As long as the O-line can keep Mahomes off of his back, the Chiefs should be able to have their way today. Injuries in the secondary for the Texans opens up the field for arguably the fasted guy in the NFL, Tyreek Hill. The Texans will have to provide over the top coverage on Hill which leaves Kelce room to operate. I don’t expect a lot from Damian Williams and LeSean McCoy today, but Williams does possess big play upside.

Texans Offense vs. Chiefs Defense

The Chiefs defense has stepped their game up over the last few weeks and it shows. With only the Chargers scoring double-digits on them in the last 3 weeks of the regular season, the Chiefs are a nightmare for opposing offenses. Then again, Deshaun Watson is as battle tested as it gets. Watson is one of the most sacked QB’s in NFL history considering his brief tenure in the pros. That doesn’t stop him from balling out on a nearly weekly basis with limited weapons. The Chiefs front-7 are going to get to Watson plenty in this game, it’s a matter of whether he can’t work is magic to get the ball to DeAndre Hopkins. The biggest question mark is the health of Will Fuller though. There is a crazy correlation to how well Watson plays when Fuller is active versus inactive. No matter what, expect Watson to be on the move all game long.

Texans: 21

Chiefs: 30

Guaranteed Touchdown Scorer: Travis Kelce

Dart Throw Touchdown Scorer: Mecole Hardman

Best Fantasy QB: Patrick Mahomes, Mahomes faces the worse of the 2 defenses.

Better Fantasy RB: Carlos Hyde, I’ll take the steady back with the guaranteed touches.

Better Fantasy WR: DeAndre Hopkins, if the Texans want to have a chance of winning, they’ll force feed Nuke.

Best Fantasy TE: Travis Kelce, duh.

Better Fantasy D/ST: Chiefs, I can see the Chiefs getting at least 5 sacks today.
