Everything is on the line tonight on Sunday Night Football! Who will get the #1 seed in the NFC? The NFL regular season culminates tonight on SNF!
Sunday Night Football
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
All the trends are pointing to the Seahawks tonight on Sunday Night Football! Just like Joe Osborne from Oddsshark.com, I like Seattle to cover the spread of +3.5 (-110) in this one. There’s just something about Russell Wilson and those bright lights. BUT! I do not believe that the Seahawks will win. That particular trend will get bucked as the Seahawks will be without their top rushers and face a stout 49ers defense. A little tip, the guy Seattle brought in to carry the pigskin… isn’t the same guy from 2011. With Seattle forced to pass, I think this game hits the OVER 45.5 (-110) with some ease.
The Seahawks are in rough shape in the backfield for Sunday Night Football. Both Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny are done for the year which leaves Travis Homer as the lone RB for Seattle. But, wait! It’s a reunion in CenturyLink! Robert Turbin is back and playing tonight for Seattle! What? Oh, the other guy…
Marshawn Lynch is back.
Seahawks Offense vs. 49ers Defense
Yes, the return of Lynch is taking the media by storm. Having last played for the Oakland Raiders in October of 2018, Lynch has been enjoying retirement for over a year now. Is he the answer to the Seahawks injury woes? Possibly in the playoffs, but not tonight. Despite that patented hard-nosed running style that we all love, are we sure Lynch can even make it through this entire game? This game is 110% going to be on the shoulders of Russell Wilson. A historically safe passer, Wilson is going to have to force some throws through tight windows tonight.
The 49ers only allow 181 passing yards per game, thanks mostly to an absurdly good pass rush. Led by Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead, the 49ers pass rush will be driving Wilson crazy all game long. The Seahawks OL is notorious for not being able to protect Wilson and this game is a recipe for disaster. I believe Wilson will work the underneath passing game with Tyler Lockett until he’s able to take a shot down the field. Even if the Seahawks can strike a little fear into the 49ers with Lynch, it’ll do wonders for their passing game.
49ers Offense vs. Seahawks Defense
Inconsistency has been the key word for both of these squads. The 49ers look like they can run the ball down the oppositions throat via 3 RB’s… and then they can’t. The Seahawks look like a team that can force turnovers with ease… and then they get lit up. Jimmy Garoppolo looks like the real deal for San Fran, and then there’s talks of bringing in Nick Mullens. But, if we simply take a step back and just look at the numbers, the 49ers should be able to throw all over Seattle tonight. We’re a long way from the Legion of Boom of yesteryear. Emmanual Sanders and Deebo Samuel should have no issue creating separation down the field. More importantly, George Kittle is a matchup nightmare for the Seahawks defense.
For the Seahawks defense, their best bet is to create pressure with Jadeveon Clowney. If they can jar Jimmy G in the pocket, they can bring out his inaccuracy as a passer. The difference in this game might be the turnover spread.
Guaranteed Touchdown Scorer: George Kittle
Dart Throw Touchdown Scorer: David Moore
Best Fantasy QB: Russell Wilson, Wilson is simply the better player between he and Garoppolo.
Better Fantasy RB: Raheem Mostert, don’t fall for the Beast Mode trap! He’s been out of football for quite some time.
Better Fantasy WR: Tyler Lockett, give me the best receiver for the best QB.
Best Fantasy TE: George Kittle, he’s the best TE in the NFL by a wide margin.
Better Fantasy D/ST: Seattle, Jimmy G is much more likely to turn the ball over.
