We start the Weekly Wrestling Review for 10/21/19 – 10/25/19 the same way we always do, with Monday Night Raw.
Monday Night Raw
Opening Segment
- We kickoff Raw with Ric Flair!
- Flair announces Drew McIntyre as the 5th member of Team Flair at Crown Jewel.
Grade: B
Drew McIntyre vs. Ricochet
- Drew is flat-out overpowering Ricochet in his first match back in nearly 2 months.
- McIntyre has dominated this match until Ricochet was finally able to mount some offense with a dive as we go to commercial.
- Flair gets interviewed mid-match and calls out Hulk Hogan for Friday Night Smackdown.
- The big man Drew McIntyre was once again dominating this match until Ricochet was able to turn up the pace and land some high-flying moves.
- After a bucklebomb and a sit-out powerbomb, Ricochet somehow kicks out at 2.5!
- Ricochet was somehow able to lift Drew up and slam him before landing a shooting star press for a 2-count!
- The Scottsman throws Ricochet around some more, including a nasty pump to the outside and into the ring post, before landing the Claymore for the pinfall.
- Post-Match: Drew McIntyre continues the beatdown on a defenseless Ricochet with a horrifying Alabama-Slam into the steel steps.
Result: Drew McIntyre wins via pinfall
Grade: B+
The OC Backstage Interview
- AJ Styles (c), Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows verbally beatdown the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) and the city of Cleveland (where Raw is tonight).
- There is a funny bit where Styles mocks the Street Profits saying that the Street Profits “want the smoke” but “the smoke” is illegal in Ohio and Gallows shouts “Cleveland SUCKS!”
Grade: B
Aleister Black Vignette
- Black says spooky things from his darkroom once again.
Grade: B-
Aleister Black vs. Jason Reynolds (A jobber)
- Black connects with Black Mass after a couple of minutes.
Result: Aleister Black wins via pinfall

AOP Vignette
Grade: C-
King’s Court w/ Rusev
- Lawler asks Rusev what he thinks when he sees the Bobby Lashley and Lana stuff.
- Rusev says that he wants to crush Lashley and hopes he and Lana can get past this.
- Lashley and Lana appear on the titantron where they are having dinner at a restaurant that Lana always wanted to go to but Rusev never took her too.
- Lashley and Lana say that they love each other.
- Rusev says that he knows exactly where they are as he runs out of the ring to cheers from the crowd.
Grade: B-
Andrade w/ Zelina Vega vs. Sin Cara
- As they make their entrance, Vega runs down Andrade’s opponent Sin Cara on the mic.
- In his return to Raw, Sin Cara starts the match off with some impressive moves until Vega causes a distraction.
- Sin Cara bounces back and hits a move to the outside as we go to commercial.
- After quite a bit of Sin Cara offense, Andrade hits the 3 Amigos but Sin Cara kicks out.
- A sunset flip powerbomb by Sin Cara from the top rope isn’t enough to put Andrade away.
- Andrade hits a running Meteora but Sin Cara kicks out again.
- Vega once again gets involved and hits a hurricanrana on Sin Cara while the ref was distracted.
- Andrade lands the Hammerlock DDT for the pinfall.
Result: Andrade wins via pinfall
Grade: C+
Humberto Backstage Interview
- Humberto says that Andrade is a future champion… unless he beats him to it.
- Also, Humberto says he won’t be a champion that plays with fire like Seth Rollins.
Grade: B+
Street Profits Backstage Segment
- Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins rundown The OC by mocking AJ Styles (c) hair and Gallows/Anderson trash talk.
- Ford says that they are main-eventing Raw.
- Dawkins hints at a potential partner for their match tonight.
Grade: B+

24/7 Championship Shenanigans
- R-Truth (c) emerges from a trailer and sneaks around backstage only to be rolled up by the Singh Brothers: Samir and Sunil.
Grade: B
The Viking Raiders (c) vs. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder in a Non-Title Match
- Before they make their entrance, Hawkins and Ryder tell everyone that they are tired of being underdogs and are ready to return to the top of the mountain.
- Immediately, Erik and Ivar run all over the challengers.
- Ryder and Hawkins are able to get some offense in before Ivar tags in and throws them around.
- The Viking Experience connects, 1-2-3.
Result: The Viking Raiders win via pinfall
Grade: C
Bobby Lashley and Lana Live Feed
- Lashley and Lana are asked to leave by a manager because he was warned that Rusev might show up and cause a problem.
- After a commercial break, Rusev appears at the restaurant and attacks Bobby Lashley until he gets arrested.
- It should be noted that this “restaurant” is clearly a 10×10 room and the police officers are straight out of Party City.
Grade: C+
Rey Mysterio Promo
- Rey says a lot of stuff about Cain Velasquez and how he will win the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.
- Paul Hayman appears on the titantron and says that Lesnar will dominate Cain Velasquez.
- Shelton Benjamin comes out for some reason?
- The former multi time champion says that Brock Lesnar is his family as they have roomed together at Minnesota all those years ago.
- Shelton starts pushing around Rey and Cain Velasquez comes to the ring!
- Velasquez slaps a chokehold on Shelton before letting him go as Velasquez and Rey Mysterio stand tall to end the segment.
Grade: B+
Seth Rollins (c) Backstage Interview
- Rollins says that The Fiend got into his head, but he also got into The Fiends head.
- Rollins stops the interview and walks over to Humberto to confront him about what he said earlier.
- Seth Rollins challenges Humberto to a match… right now.
Grade: B
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Humberto in a Non-Title Match
- A fairly slow-paced match to start as the crowd starts chanting for Bray Wyatt.
- Humberto picks up the pace and nearly gets a pinfall but Rollins sends him to the outside and throws him into the barricade as we go to commercial.
- Humberto fights back with some high-flying offense until Rollins lands the Falcon Arrow for a 2-count.
- The Crowd continues to chant for Wyatt.
- Humberto nearly pins Rollins after an impressive moonsault!
- Rollins reverses another moonsault attempt and connects with the Stomp for the pinfall.
- Post-Match: Seth Rollins shakes Humbertos’ hand in a sign of respect.
Result: Seth Rollins wins via pinfall
Grade: B
24/7 Championship Shenanagins
- R-Truth tries to sneak up on the Singh Brothers but tries pinning the wrong Singh.
Grade: B
Main Event: Street Profits and a Mystery Partner vs. The OC
- And the mystery partner is…no one?
- Ford is taking care of business on Anderson until Dawkins and Gallows tag in.
- Luke Gallows tags in Anderson as they are simply dominating Montez Ford.
- A double-clothesline knocks both in-ring guys down and Ford is able to make the hot tag to Dawkins.
- Montez tags back in and the ref gets distracted allowing AJ Styles (c) to interfere.
- The ref goes to eject Styles and Kevin Owens appears and delivers a Stunner to Styles!
- Montez Ford hits the Frog Splash on Karl Anderson and the Street Profits win!
Result: Street Profits win via pinfall
Grade: B+
Conclusion
- A strong Main Event and Rey promo made up for an otherwise mediocre show.
